Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre uses what you share here to consider you for casual paid work — refereeing, coaching, event support, or similar. We'll match the info you provide against the role you've applied for; an admin will review your application and get back to you within a few business days.
What you tell us is kept securely for at least 7 years as part of our recruitment + payroll records. If we engage you, the info also seeds your compliance file (WWCC, hobby income declaration, bank details on file) — you'll get a follow-up email with a link to set your account password and add your bank details once you're set up.
Hobby income declaration (paid roles): PVRSC pays casual referees, coaches and event staff as hobby income, without withholding tax, as the Taxation Administration Act 1953 (Cth) s.12-190 (the "no-ABN withholding" rule) otherwise requires. The ATO's Taxation Ruling TR 2002/9 lets you give us a written statement explaining why withholding should not apply. The declaration on this form is that statement for the hobby reason — it covers the same ground as the ATO's "Statement by a supplier" (NAT 3346), which may be used but does not have to be. Your name, address and the roles you tick on this form form part of the declaration; you don't need an ABN or a Tax File Number. If we take you on, the declaration you sign here is recorded on your compliance file for this calendar year (current to 31 December). PVRSC policy is one declaration per calendar year, so we'll ask you to renew it each January from your members account; we send reminders until it's done. A completed declaration does not by itself decide that your payments are hobby income — that depends on your actual circumstances, which is why we ask you to tell us if they change. It applies whatever your age; if you're under 18 your parent or guardian should be aware you're signing it.
Electronic signature: the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) gives signatures and statements made electronically the same legal status as paper. PVRSC stores your answers, your drawn signature, the date and time, your IP address, the version of this wording, and a SHA-256 tamper-detection hash. Declarations are kept for at least 5 years (ATO record-keeping rule) and 7 years as part of our finance records; earlier ones are kept alongside, never overwritten.
If you're under 18, we'll email the parent or guardian you name to approve your account before you can log in, and they'll be able to see your account alongside you. Working With Children Checks aren't required until you turn 18.
You don't need to give us a password here — we'll send you a secure link by email after we review your application. If you already have a PVRSC members account, log in first and we'll attach this application to it. Australian Privacy Principles apply.
